Zhengzhou Travel in China
At the first glance, Zhengzhou is partially different from other advanced or developed cities along the coast. It is modern but traditional in life, beautiful and attractive in tour. Climate and Geography
Zhengzhou is located in the mid-north part of Henan Province. It faces Yellow River to the north and backs on Songshan Mountain to the west. To the southeast, it faces the broad Yellow River-Huaihe River Plain. Zhengzhou is the provincial capital of Henan, and the center of politics, economy and culture of Henan province. It directly administrates 12 districts, counties and county-level cities. The urban area covers 1010.3 square kilometers. The whole population is roughly 7 million. Zhengzhou is the important transportation center of China and the important city on the new Eurasian Continental Bridge. It is the nation-level opening city and the historical and cultural city. Zhengzhou belongs to the continental climate of the warm zone. It is different in different season all the year around. The annual average temperature is 14.4° C, and July is the hottest month with the average temperature of 27.3°C and January is the coldest one all the year. The annual average rainfall is 640.9 millimeters. The sunny time of all the year is 2400 hours. In this administrative area, there are 35 rivers respectively belonging to the water system of Yellow River and Huaihe River.
Transportation system
Zhengzhou is the nation-class comprehensive transportation hub comprised of the highway, railway, air transportation and information communication center. Two state-level main railways, Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and Longhai Railway, connected with each other here. It has three top-class railway stations. The north railway station is the largest train team organization station in the Asia. The east railway station is the largest transfer station acting as the goods transportation in China, also it is the one of the largest passenger transportation centers in China, and Zhengzhou is one of seven main cities as the major transportation-hub center of China. The national highways No. 107 and No.310 as well as 18 main highways go across the whole province of Henan. Zhengzhou Bus Station has the largest capacity of transportation and the longest road line in China. Zhengzhou traditionally is called to be the heart of Chinese railway.
