China attractions - Yanjiatai: The village belongs to Qingshui town. East and west Longmenjian natural scenic area is located here. Shell made coins had been unearthed here and stone inscription for Tongxian Taoist temple which had been built in Yuan Dynasty stands in the village too. In 1230, Yin zhiping, who was also named as Qinghe Master, lived here in seclusion. People lived here keep the heritage of Bangzi play for over 400 years.
Baiyu: Belongs to Zhaitang town. The village had been established in Yuan Dynasty. There is a site of brickkiln of ancient Great Wall. And Yangko is the unique local folk drama. In 2005, the Baiyu Yangko had been listed in the first batch of intangible cultural heritage protection projects of Beijing.
Sangyu: Belongs to Zhaitang town. You can find ancient buildings here and there. In 1993, fossils of ancient human lived one hundred and ten thousand before years had been found here.
Yangjiayu: Belongs to Zhaitang town. The village preserves a varity of ancient objects like old trees lived for one thousand years, the ancient well, the ancient mill, plaque of chastity built in Republican Period, etc.. The most commendable feature is the ancient dewllings.
Zhaitang: Belongs to Zhaitang town. During Zhengguan years in Tang Dynasty, a temple named Lingyue had been built in the north side of Baitie mountain. Monks lived in the temple set soup kitchen here. So the village was named as Zhaitang (same meaning as soup kitchen). In the village, ancient city wall, temples and old drama stage have been preserved, include a famous site named Xiongmengxiang Monastic Dinning Hall built in Yuan Dynasty.
Huanglingxi: Belongs to Zhaitang town. Old cypresses grow throughout the hills here. There are lots of ancient bridges, streets, residential areas and a unique village temple . And old household items are kept in every family.
Malan: Belongs to Zhaitang town. Ancient bridges, streets and residential areas preserved well. And a memorial site of command of the Chinese Eighth Route Army. It is the only memorial site held by a village in Beijing.
Qijiazhuang: Belongs to Qingshui town. The village was built in the early Tang Dynasty. Sites as old residential areas, Lingyan Temple(built in Tang Dynasty) and Klins built in Jin Dynasty are preserved well.
Dujiazhuang: Belongs to Qingshui town. The most featured character here is construction style. Long streets and old residences list orderly and in an uniform style of Republican Period. The highlight is a Shanxi-character house named "presidential Palace" built in 1921.
Zhangjiazhuang: Belongs to Qingshui town. Old residences and a drama stage are kept well here.
Jiuyuan: Belongs to Wangping town. The village is an important stop on western Beijing ancient road. The stony path is smoothed as mirror and a fortress named Niujiaoling set on the ancient road. There are dozens of old bridges here while streams flow front every home, just like the poetic imagery described in the famous poem, "Tianjingsha"( by Mazhiyuan in Yuan Dynasty). So the villagers built Ma's former residence here.
Shiguyan: Belongs to Wangping town. This is a grotto cliff site which kept from Han Dynasty. Ancient road on Shifo mountain was preserved well. And 4 millestones for memery of road works in Ming Dynasty.
Wangping village: Belongs to Wangping town. Several sites of ancient temples preserved well here. And ancient Xishan Road travels across the village.
Jieshi: Belongs to Yanchi town. The village was built in Ming Dynasty. It's a world of stone. Huge stones stand everywhere. There are old wells in the village and many macrobians lived in old residences.
Qingbaikou: Belongs to Yanchi town. The village was built in Jin Dynasty but you'll find lots of courtyard dweillings here. A site of ancient road is at east side of the village. It is a well-known military fortress not only in the past but also in now days.
Jiangou: Belongs to Fengshan town. Several folk temples are in the village. And Miaofengshan temple fair held here is the largest scale temple fair in north China while it attracts hundreds of thousands of pilgrims to the village.
Shimenying: Belongs to Yongding town. It was built before Ming Dynasty and is the hometown of Liu Hongrui, an notable of Beijing in the Republican Period.
