China attractions - The charming Gannan Prairie is a broad and flat plateau pastures. It's unpolluted land where human and nature live in harmony. The territory spreads over Maqu, Xiahe, Luqu 3 counties. And the Maqu grassland is one of the largest ecological wetlands in upstream yellow river draigage area where Hequ house herds, black-necked cranes, white Swans, Tibetan gazelles and spotted deers inhabit and grow. Gahai lake lies here as "The holy lake" in the hearts of local Tibetan. Tourists can experience the local Tibetan folk culture by dressing up Tibetan costumes, riding horses or on yaks and walking arround the beautiful grassland.

Gannan Maqu Grassland is located at Maqu county, southwest of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. The Yellow River flows through the 10,000 square kilometers grassland from southwest to northeast and forms the first great curve. Many amazing attractions spread along the Yellow River.
Other grasslands like Marizhaxitan and Songger also show very different features. In summers, some traditional religious activities and mass sports are held on Marizhaxitan grassland. Herders are dressed in national costumes while robust horses gallop on flourishing grassland. It's another special attraction for tourists.
