China Attractions - West Lake is located at the Midwest of Hangzhou city, Zhejiang Province. It was known as Wulin Water, Qiantang Lake, Xizi Lake in early ancient time and has been called West Lake from Song Dynasty. West lake is the center of the whole Scenic Area. It is divided into Hubin (Lake Shore), Huxin (Center of Lake), Beishan (North Mountain), Nanshan (South Mountain) and Qiantang, 5 regions and includes a total area of 49 sq.km..
