China attracions - Yili Prairie includes the famous Nalaty Grassland, the rising star Tangbula Grassland and the traditional pasture Gongnaisi Grassland. The outstanding scenery of Yili Prairie always appears boundless vitality.

Nalaty in Mongolian language means "the sun appears". In an old legend, during Genghis Khan's western expedition, an Mongolian army moved toward Yili from hinterland of Tianshan Mountain. The season was spring but the weather was cold with snow and strong wind flooding in the valley. Bad weather made soldiers tired and hungry. But when they had climbed over the mountain, a vast and beautiful grassland turned up as if they arrived in another world.  At the time, clouds dispersed and the setting sun appeared in front of the soldiers eyes. They couldn't help their exciting but shouted "Nalaty, nalaty!" And the grassland has gained the name Nalaty from then on.

Nalaty scenic area is located in Xinyuan county of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, includes many tourist attraction spots like surrounding grassland, race track. From June to September, alll kinds of wild flowers open all over the hills and embellished the colourful grassland.
